The Department of Fire & Emergency Services rely on the support of volunteers. Without them, they wouldn’t have the ability to provide emergency support to communities in need.

Unfortunately, most people believed the only volunteer roles at DFES were front line roles - a fire fighter, or part of a search and rescue team. This campaign corrected that misconception.

‘Get Behind the Front Line’ recognised the importance of the many and varied volunteering opportunities at DFES, and the vital role they play in supporting the front line staff.
